Twin Liquors has more than 100 retail locations across Texas, but at the start of a global pandemic, their online store became their most important and delivery became an overnight demand. In March of 2020 most Texans were working from home and pretty unsure how to stay connected with friends, family and co-workers. We created this piece to let customers know about Twin’s online store and delivery service, as well as to encourage people to use ZOOM and other methods to stay connected, and socialize in any way they could.

These productions were meticulously planned and executed with a skeleton crew in a very rapid amount of time. The first spot took less than a week from initial concept to completion, and the others were done within two to three weeks of client buy-off.

As locations started to open back up and receive traffic again, we wanted to create a piece that showed people looking comfortable wearing masks; smiling, interacting and shopping the newly remodeled stores in comfort. We wanted to the spot to feel upbeat and optimistic, in contrast to much of what was on TV at the time.

And finally, as the holiday season approached, we asked ourselves; “what will the holidays look like this year?” We knew large gatherings weren’t happening, and traveling home to visit family wasn’t an option for many people either, but we wanted to once again show how togetherness could be portrayed.

The end slate artwork was hand-drawn and vectorized by me, and the animation was done by Anthony (Monty) Montemayor.
